Why do I need to upload photos?
We are an online dermatology service and require photos for our Prescribing Team to prescribe and provide you with a personalised medical service. The skin conditions we treat are diagnosed at a distance via the submission of photos, in addition to the information gathered from the consultation questions.
Our expert Dermatology Team needs to review photos of your face, alongside the information you provide within the consultation questions, to make sure that they’re diagnosing your skin concerns accurately and safely.
We understand that it may not be possible for everyone to provide photographs but unfortunately it is not possible to offer a safe remote service without them. Patient safety is our priority, which is why we are unable to offer any flexibility on this. We would never use your photos for any reason other than prescribing, without your consent. The photos that are submitted during the sign up consultation are safely stored on our medical database, in accordance with our GDPR and privacy policies which can be read here. They remain totally confidential and private.
A few tips for taking your photos are to take off any makeup (if you wear any), glasses and keep any loose hair off your face. Find a good light: face a window with natural, daytime light on your face and resist using filters. Make sure your face/neck fills the screen so we can get up close and personal with your skin.
