Candles, chocolates, mood lighting? That’s actually a typical selfcare Sunday for us here on The Dose, but lovers the world over will have all that and more as they celebrate Valentine’s Day this week. So whether it’s romantic, platonic or self, we’re sharing the love with you.

We asked our community of superfans, The Skin + Me Collective, to share their skincare loves, likes and losses. From the products we’re flirting with – TikTok trends like slugging or skin flooding – to the ones we’re ghosting – products with big promises that couldn’t deliver – here are this year’s picks. 

Valentine’s Day skincare: What products are you flirting with and what products are you committing to?

Tamsin: “I’m loving the new Skin + Me Vitamin C serum together with the Daily Doser.”

Jenni: “I’d tried a new cleanser, but my skin has been breaking out like crazy! So I’m getting back with an ex (the Skin + Me Cleanser which must have been helping maintain my skin barriers!). I’m also loving the change in my Daily Doser.”

Phillipa: “Skin + Me Soothe + Smooth Moisturiser, Daily Doser, Purify + Prep Cleanser and good old E45 are the ones for me.”

I usually have combination skin but without any dryness but over the winter months my skin was extremely dry and flaky so my prescriber suggested this – my skin is lovely and soft again.”
