Hello, and step into Skin + Me Stories \u2013 a series where we talk to real life Skin + Me customers about the good, the bad and the ugly bits of their personal skincare journeys so far. This month, we\u2019re talking to mums about their motherhood and their skin. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meet Nassima, better known as @beaussima<\/a>, a multitasking mother who uses her platform to share her love of beauty and her family and help guide others on their skincare journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tell us about your skincare journey over the years<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have loved skincare all my life but I developed a particular obsession in my early 20s when I first started breaking out and nothing I did helped. I took extreme measures which resulted in very unpleasant results so I restarted with a simple routine and continued to research until I found what worked best for me. I wish I had access to Skin + Me back then! It would have saved me a LOT of money and agony!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What mistakes have you made along the way? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using prescription skincare (without a prescription). Not following instructions properly. Not easing in and allowing my skin to get used to the product. There was lots of peeling!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Has your skin been affected by pregnancy and breastfeeding? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

YES! I was pregnant from August 2018 and, strangely, started breaking out on my forehead during my first trimester. When looking at my skincare stash, there were so many products I could no longer use due to being pregnant; I felt so helpless and it reminded me of when I first experienced adult acne. Again, Skin + Me was not yet around so I was unable to benefit from prescription skincare. When I finally tried Skin + Me, I was breastfeeding and was elated that I could finally start using actives again! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are your thoughts on Skin + Me so far? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ve been using Skin + Me for almost 8 months now and my formula is 14% Azelaic Acid and 4% Niacinamide. I have now had this same formula for several months and my skin loves it. It\u2019s been life-changing and skin-changing. It’s so innovative and the customer service is like no other. I cannot rave about this brand enough!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you could gift a Skin + Me subscription to anyone who would it be and why? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a secondary school teacher, I’d want something similar to be available for teenagers who struggle with their skin, so they can learn to have a healthy relationship with themselves whilst treating acne. As a mother, I want to teach my daughter that prevention is more effective than intervention so having a simple skincare routine can do wonders for skin, and self care can improve mental health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
