It\u2019s not thick or heavy, so I get that light and dewy glow. When I get<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/the-dose\/ask-a-dermatologist-where-do-my-spots-come-from\/\"> spots<\/a>, I reach for <strong>Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer<\/strong> \u2013 it\u2019s heavy-duty and covers up great.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Amber<\/strong>: I switch between a few foundations depending on what I need: <strong>Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Foundation, MAC Face &amp; Body <\/strong>or <strong>NARS Sheer Glow Foundation<\/strong>. I don&#8217;t like too much coverage (in my mind less is always more) as I prefer a natural look.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For spot concealing, I LOVE the <strong>NARS Radiant Creamy concealer, <\/strong>or the <strong>Maybelline Fit Me<\/strong> <strong>Concealer<\/strong>. I&#8217;ll only use a small amount on spots and<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/the-dose\/how-do-you-treat-under-eye-bags\/\"> under eyes<\/a>, and it blends really well with the base I already have on. For powder, it\u2019s got to be <strong>Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powder<\/strong> &#8211; I only use this to set my T-zone but my makeup will not budge after I use this, LOVE IT!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Grace<\/strong>:<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/the-dose\/our-dermatologist-approved-spfs-for-everyday-wear\/\"> Sunscreen<\/a> is an amazing primer for makeup! Plus it\u2019s the best protection for your skin. I love <strong>La Roche Posay\u2019s<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/the-dose\/skincare-and-the-sun-guide-freckles-sun-spots-spf-and-makeup-know-how\/\"> SPF<\/a> products, have used them for years. <strong>Jane Iredale Pure Pressed Base<\/strong> \u2013 this stuff is literally the best mineral powder foundation! Never looks dry or cakey when you\u2019ve got a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/the-dose\/all-about-the-base-skincare-and-makeup-tips-for-the-party-season\/\"> good base<\/a> underneath.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It gave me a lot of coverage and relief when my skin was at its worst! Now I just use it to set my concealer as it gives a very natural satin finish. I love it so much, and I only wear makeup to enhance my features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lee<\/strong>: <strong>Revolution\u2019s Mattify Primer<\/strong> doesn\u2019t feel too heavy and doesn\u2019t cause a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/the-dose\/the-skin-and-me-guide-to-acne\/\"> breakout<\/a>. <strong>Revlon Age Defying Foundation<\/strong> covers well and builds up nicely if you want more coverage. <strong>Rimmel Lasting Radiance Concealer<\/strong> covers well too, it\u2019s long lasting and colour match is good.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sarah<\/strong>: The <strong>Sheglam Full Coverage Concealer <\/strong>from Shein is genuinely the best concealer I&#8217;ve ever used and it doesn&#8217;t break me out. I also use a green colour correcting primer and <strong>Rimmel London<\/strong> <strong>Wake Me Up Foundation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rebekkah<\/strong>: I use <strong>No. 7 Hydraluminous Foundation<\/strong> to enhance my natural skin and to cover spots and blemishes \u2013 really natural, good price and coverage, buildable and not cakey. It also matches fair skin tones well. The <strong>NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer<\/strong> blends so well into the skin and looks really natural \u2013 a little goes a long way!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-heading\"><strong>The best makeup for rosacea&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Louise: <\/strong>I prefer a medium and buildable foundation, so for every day makeup, I always reach for <strong>Fenty Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint<\/strong>, really good coverage but not too heavy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Katy<\/strong>: I like makeup from <strong>Rosalique<\/strong> because it combats<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/the-dose\/rosacea-101\/\"> redness<\/a> and has SPF 50. I switch it up depending on the event\/situation, so for long-lasting, even coverage it\u2019s got to be <strong>MaxFactor FaceFinity<\/strong>, it goes on so nicely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Denise<\/strong>: My skin goals do affect how I wear makeup because I like to allow my skin to breathe. As a result, I wear very natural and light products and I prefer to enhance my skin(glow) rather than covering my natural features up. I like that Dr Jart has<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/the-dose\/what-is-spf\/\"> SPF<\/a>, but I&#8217;ll always use a separate<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/the-dose\/community-wisdom-how-to-get-loved-ones-to-wear-sunscreen\/\"> sunscreen<\/a>, especially as I&#8217;m using<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/our-ingredients\/tretinoin\"> tretinoin<\/a> in my<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/the-dose\/daily-doser-spotlight-2\/\"> Daily Doser<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-heading\"><strong>The best makeup for pigmentation<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Grace: <\/strong>I\u2019ve started using <strong>Vichy\u2019s Dermablend Fluid Foundation<\/strong> and really really love it so far! It has amazing coverage and you don&#8217;t need a lot of the product at all to cover redness or<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/the-dose\/ask-a-dermatologist-what-is-hyperpigmentation\/\"> pigmentation<\/a>, and<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/the-dose\/how-do-you-treat-under-eye-bags\/\"> under eye circles<\/a>. I&#8217;ve been using it for years now and haven&#8217;t switched to anything else. It also has incredible lasting power.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Angela: <\/strong>I use <strong>IT Cosmetics CC Cream<\/strong> \u2013 a product of many talents! For something more full coverage, I reach for <strong>Il Makiage<\/strong> <strong>Woke Up Like This Foundation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-heading\"><strong>The best makeup for fine lines and pores<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rebekkah: <\/strong>The <strong>Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder <\/strong>is great! It lasts a long time, and you only need a small amount to give you an airbrush finish on<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/the-dose\/ask-a-dermatologist-can-i-shrink-my-pores\/\"> pores<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Louise: <\/strong>I love the <strong>YSL Touche Eclat Foundation<\/strong>, it\u2019s got lovely, buildable coverage and really blurs my<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/the-dose\/ask-a-dermatologist-can-i-shrink-my-pores\/\"> pores<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Shimona: <\/strong>I love the <strong>Smashbox Pore-Filling Primer<\/strong> as it does a really good job of minimising my<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/the-dose\/ask-a-dermatologist-can-i-shrink-my-pores\/\"> pores<\/a>. Plus, a little goes a long way so it&#8217;s lasted me for ages.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Paula<\/strong>: My skin goals do affect how I wear makeup, as I find it sits in my<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/the-dose\/skin-and-me-stories-antonia\/\"> fine lines<\/a>. I like <strong>Beauty Pie\u2019s All-In-Wonder Illuminating Primer<\/strong>, the <strong>One Powder Wonder <\/strong>and their<strong> Fresh Glow Setting Spray<\/strong>, as they give me a very natural look. Pores appear less visible, my makeup applies beautifully and it smooths everything out, my foundation stays put all day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-heading\"><strong>The best makeup for dry skin and texture<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Amanda: <\/strong>I use the<strong> Laura Mercier Smoothing Primer <\/strong>to even out my skin tone, I really like wearing it. I also rotate between foundations: <strong>Ciat\u00e9 Extraordinary, Colourpop Pretty Fresh <\/strong>and<strong> Rare Beauty. <\/strong>I don\u2019t feel I have to wear it when my skin looks good and I can achieve a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/the-dose\/myth-buster-what-does-healthy-skin-look-like\/\"> healthier<\/a> look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rosie<\/strong>: I really like <strong>Yves Saint Laurent Touch \u00c9clat<\/strong> \u2013 I have<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/the-dose\/dry-skin-101-dry-skin-causes-symptoms-and-treatment\/\"> dry skin<\/a> and foundation can highlight this, but with a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/the-dose\/how-to-build-a-skincare-routine\/\"> good skincare routine<\/a> I can keep the scaly skin at bay. I also love the <strong>Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray<\/strong>, it feels so refreshing on my skin which can be<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/the-dose\/get-to-know-your-skin-type-dry-oily-combination-and-more\/\"> dry<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Brogan<\/strong>: I love <strong>Fenty, NARS Sheer Glow, Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk, MAC Studio Fix<\/strong> (I tend to switch it up!) and love the <strong>e.l.f Camo Concealer<\/strong>. If I feel like I&#8217;ve been wearing more makeup or full coverage looks, I will take more time to focus on<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/the-dose\/skincare-life-lessons-with-sali-hughes\/\"> skincare<\/a> in the evening, or have a few days off to let my skin breathe. I enjoy wearing makeup, but as I work towards my<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/our-ingredients\"> skin goals<\/a> I also enjoy wearing less, and focusing more on a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/the-dose\/how-to-build-a-skincare-routine\/\"> skincare routine<\/a> so I can feel more confident without it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Amber<\/strong>:<strong> <\/strong>To prime and set my<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/the-dose\/all-about-the-base-skincare-and-makeup-tips-for-the-party-season\/\"> makeup<\/a>, it\u2019s got to be <strong>MAC Fix+<\/strong>. I use this before, during and after my makeup and it never looks cakey and lasts all day, it&#8217;s the best! I love cream products for my skin goal as I find powder products stick to texture more \u2013 if I do use powder, I&#8217;ll layer it on the cream VERY lightly, I won&#8217;t use it on its own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tia<\/strong>: I tend to go for ultra-hydrating, illuminating and colour correcting primers, such as the <strong>MUA Primer Oil<\/strong> or <strong>Dr Pawpaw Original Balm<\/strong> \u2013 both amazing for<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/the-dose\/dry-skin-101-dry-skin-causes-symptoms-and-treatment\/\"> dry skin<\/a> and looks great under foundation (especially in<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/the-dose\/ask-a-dermatologist-skincare-tips-for-winter\/\"> winter<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Emily<\/strong>: I really like wearing makeup, but I\u2019ll usually switch it up depending on where I\u2019m going. My skin is<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/the-dose\/dry-skin-101-dry-skin-causes-symptoms-and-treatment\/\"> dry<\/a> so I look for hydrating products, like the <strong>YSL Hydrating Foundation<\/strong>. I also love a refreshing setting spray.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-heading\"><strong>The best makeup for oily and combination skin<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Katie<\/strong>: I have<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/the-dose\/combination-skin-101-causes-symptoms-and-treatment\/\"> combination skin<\/a> and get<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/the-dose\/the-skin-and-me-guide-to-acne\/\"> acne<\/a> from time to time. I don\u2019t love the feeling of foundation on my skin, so I opt for really light coverage, regardless of my spots. <strong>Glossier\u2019s Skin Tint<\/strong> is a perfect water-based foundation \u2013 it\u2019s barely there.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If I need a little more coverage, <strong>Rare Beauty\u2019s Tinted Moisturiser<\/strong>. I rely heavily on pressed powder to stop shine \u2013 <strong>No7 Perfect Light Pressed Powder Translucent<\/strong> is my holy grail! I also recently discovered <strong>Lacura\u2019s eye primer<\/strong> \u2013 GAME. CHANGER.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Shimona: <\/strong>At the moment I use <strong>Fenty Beauty Pro Filter Foundation<\/strong>, it&#8217;s great for my<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/the-dose\/oily-skin-101-oily-skin-causes-symptoms-and-treatment\/\"> oily skin<\/a> and it has a medium coverage and it has amazing lasting power. I also really like the <strong>Charlotte Tilbury Pressed Powder<\/strong> as it&#8217;s a great compact that you can keep with you to touch up if you get a little shiny. It also has a very luxe feel to it which I love!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-heading\"><strong>Final drops of wisdom<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lauren<\/strong>: My recent makeup wisdom is <strong>L\u2019Oreal Infallible<\/strong> \u2013 it\u2019s amazing! I don&#8217;t use foundation any more as I don&#8217;t feel I need it but I like to use a concealer where I get redness around my nose and to disguise <a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/the-dose\/how-do-you-treat-under-eye-bags\/\">dark circles<\/a>. I find it blends really well after<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/the-dose\/full-routine-launch-skin-and-me-cleanser-and-moisturiser\/\"> moisturising<\/a> and you only need the tiniest amount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Denise<\/strong>: One of my absolute favourite makeup products I\u2019ve been using for nearly a decade is <strong>Benefit High Beam Satiny Pink Complexion Highlighter<\/strong>. I apply a little to the top of my cheek bones, a little applied in a line down my nose and a tiny amount in the middle of my Cupid&#8217;s bow. I\u2019ve had SO many compliments over the years when I\u2019m wearing this especially as it gives a beautiful natural glow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Grace<\/strong>:<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/olenabeley\/\"> Olena Beley<\/a> is an amazing source of<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/the-dose\/skincare-life-lessons-with-sali-hughes\/\"> skincare<\/a> and<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinandme.com\/the-dose\/all-about-the-base-skincare-and-makeup-tips-for-the-party-season\/\"> makeup<\/a> wisdom!
